The McGee Law Firm is co-owned by Brandon L. McGee. Brandon was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He got his B.A. from Texas Christian University in 1998. His law degree from Emory University School of Law came out in 2001.
Brandon went back to the Lone Star State to work as a lawyer after law school. Here, he met Rita, his wife, who works as a fee lawyer for Capital Title. Brandon and Rita are thrilled to have twin teenage boys. Yes, you read that right: "twin teenage boys." The McGee home is always busy because they have twin boys. That's why the weekends are always full of fun things to do. Rita and Brandon will always be there on the weekends to cheer on their boys in their favorite sports. On the few weekends when both boys' plans allow it, Brandon and Rita will be hanging out and having a good time.
Brandon worked as a trial lawyer for the first few years of his job, arguing civil and divorce cases in court. He did more and more estate planning as he helped his clients deal with the problems they were facing in life. He quickly learned that helping families was more fun for him than "fighting" in court. This realization, along with Rita's breast cancer diagnosis and the sudden death of his father, led Brandon to decide to focus his business on estate planning, elder law, and probate.
Brandon's main areas of law are estate planning, elder law, probate, Medicaid pre-planning, and disaster planning. He also makes LLCs. The American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys has made him a member, which is a big deal. He is also a member of the State Bar of Texas and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
