Dianne Sawaya was born and raised in Denver, so assisting the people there is especially meaningful to her. She first realized she wanted to be a lawyer after seeing the popular Family Circus cartoon in which the little girl says, "When I grow up, I don't want to be a lady - I want to be a lawyer!" And this is exactly what she did. While the cartoon inspired her as a child, it was her desire to serve others and her advocacy abilities that prompted her to practice law.
Dianne studied pre-medicine at the University of Colorado in Boulder and graduated with a bachelor's degree. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from the esteemed University of Denver College of Law. While in law school, she worked as a law clerk for a Denver District Court judge.
Dianne is admitted to practice law in Colorado and the District of Columbia, including Colorado district courts, United States District Courts in Colorado and Washington, D.C., and United States Courts of Appeals in Colorado and Washington. Her legal career has taken her to the halls of Congress and other state legislatures, as well as to Washington, D.C., where she served as an elected representative.
She focuses her legal practice on representing victims of vehicle, motorcycle, and truck accidents, as well as individuals wounded on the work and those hurt by the negligence or carelessness of others. She has been practicing law for almost 30 years, with 25 of those years dedicated to obtaining personal injury compensation for accident victims.
Dianne started The Law Offices of Dianne Sawaya because she wanted to bring a more personal, caring approach to her work as a Denver personal injury lawyer. After all, they term it "personal injury" for a reason: you are hurt, and it is personal. Her dedication to giving personalized attention and services to each client has made her the most visible female personal injury attorney in Denver.
