Description

Russ is the first lawyer in Tennessee to be certified by the Board of Certification and Specialization as an estate planning specialist. He also has the Accredited Estate Planner and Estate Planning Law Specialist titles from the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils.

In 1984, he got his B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany. In 1986, he got his J.D. from the Washington College of Law at American University in Washington, D.C. He also went to the University of Copenhagen in Denmark and studied international business there. Russ is a part of the Tennessee Bar Association, the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils, and the Middle Tennessee Estate Planning Council.

​Russ gives different kinds of seminars to lawyers, financial experts, and clients. The CFP Board has approved him as a Continuing Education Sponsor, and he gives workshops that Certified Financial Planners can use to earn Continuing Education credits. ​He is also known as a Continuing Legal Education Speaker by the Tennessee Bar Association. He used to co-host the TV show The Retirement Report on Channel 5, and you can hear him on the radio at 99.7 WWTN, 1510 WLAC, and 107.9 WMSR.
