The McDivitt Law Firm was founded in 1974 by Mike and Karen McDivitt. The foundation of the firm is the idea that everyone should have equal access to the civil justice system. The McDivitts are adamant that everyone, regardless of financial means, should have access to legal representation. Mike stated right away that he won't take anything until he is successful in getting you the compensation you are due for your injuries.

David, the son of Karen and Mike, became the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of the company in 2007. As the head of the firm's litigation and trial group, David, a nationally renowned trial lawyer, is in charge of both trying and overseeing jury trials through verdict.

The McDivitt litigation Firm has expanded over the last few decades to become one of Colorado's biggest personal injury litigation companies. In addition to his wife Karen, who still serves as the firm's president, Mike's son David McDivitt, an attorney, joined the practice in 2007 and their daughter Lisa McDivitt Bush joined the firm in 2012 as the director of marketing. With sites across Colorado, the family-run business established its fifth office in January 2017.
